We all would love our homes to be Peaceful and Quiet Right?, However, this may not always be possible due to a noisy Dishwasher.

Today we put an end to this because I am going to show you exactly how to soundproof a dishwasher fast without any technical knowledge.

Follow these ten how to quiet dishwasher steps, and I promise you any time you turn on your dishwasher the noise will be muffled without throwing away the valuable dishwasher you’ve always loved!.

Possible causes of a Loud Noisy Dishwasher

There are a lot of reasons why your dishwasher might be making a loud or grinding noise whether new or old.

one of the most common cause is a foreign object such as a broken piece or plate of food might be causing the dishwasher pump not to function accordingly.

Other than that there are four more probable reasons why your dishwasher might be loud including:

  •  A Defective Drain Pump caused by debris (Cleaning the dishwasher it might help).
  • A Malfunctioning Circulation Pump( can fix this by replacing the circulation pump).
  • The water valve might be worn or torn.
  • Damaged impeller.

If any of this is accurate, Don’t worry these ten steps will significantly reduce the amount of noise your dishwasher regardless of the cause.

Material Required for Dishwasher Sound Dampening:

It is essential to have the right sound insulation material if you want to soundproof your dishwasher successfully.

You will need only two things:

  1. Phillips Head Screw Driver: If you don’t have, you can get one at your local store.
  2. Dishwasher Soundproofing Mat: I recommend you get the Dishwasher Tub Insulation Blanket.

Alright, now that you have the right material in place, you can follow this guide and dramatically reduce the noise in your dishwasher forever.

I want you to take note that although this may sound like a technical and overwhelming task, it is easy to do nd you can do it without hiring anyone.

1. Make sure you unplug entirely the Dishwasher from the Power Source.

This is a significant step people tend to forget, and it’s critical for your safety, and also this will make it easier to soundproof your dishwasher without any risks of damaging it.

2. Carefully take out the front panel of the Dishwasher.

This is very simple, all you have to do is use the Phillips Head screwdriver, to do this you have to do the following:

  1. Gently open your dishwasher.
  2. Use the Phillips Head screwdriver to untie the screws at the edge of the dishwasher.
  3. Carefully close the door.
  4. Carefully and slowly remove the front panel.

3. Accurately measure the front panel size without the front panel.

All you have to do in this step is accurately try to measure the size of the dishwasher panel by measuring things like the width, length, and depth of the panel without the door on. sound insulation blanket.

This where you will need the right soundproof dishwasher mat that will successfully fill in the dishwasher Gap

4. Insert the Sound Insulation Mat and Replace Panel back in place.

After you measured the panel and successfully cut the mat to the right size just insert the soundproofing mat into the Front Panel of the dishwasher. Then put back the panel where it was originally was.

5. Simply Detach water lines and Drag the Dishwasher away from the wall.

Make sure all water lines are disconnected then slowly and carefully drag the dishwasher away from the wall towards you so that you can easily sound deaden the dishwashers back too.

6. Get Rid of the old insulation blanket and replace it with the new insulation blanket around the dishwasher.

Normally all dishwashers come with an already installed insulation blanket to prevent the dishwasher from making noise however as the dishwasher is used and gets older the insulation blanket ages over time.

You will find the protecting cover insulation blanket attached to the dishwasher with a rivet bolt. Carefully remove it with any small pin or needle pliers. this will allow you to reuse this when inserting the new soundproofing blankets.

By using the rivets insert the dishwasher soundproof blanket then push right into the frame where they automatically will lock into place.

7. Add Soundproofing mat at the back of the dishwasher.

One of the common causes of the increased noise of a dishwasher is when the dishwasher shakes and knocks itself against the wall.

Adding a sound insulation mat at the rear of the dishwasher will incredibly reduce the noise by a large margin. To do this:

  1. you will have to cut two horizontal strips, and two vertical strips of the soundproofing mat
  2. attach all four strips at the back of the dishwasher using a stronger adhesive to help it stick.

8. Put back the dishwasher to where it usually stays.

I am sure this is self-explanatory, all you have to do is slide back the dishwasher to the first storage.

9. Reattach the Water Lines (horses).

Simply reattach everything as it was. Make sure horses are correctly attached to the dishwasher.

10. Test the dishwasher.

Congratulations! You have successfully learned how to sound dampen your dishwasher, all you have to do now is test it and if you followed the above guide carefully I am confident the noise of the dishwasher is reduced or eliminated.
